The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is preparing to open a major Korean art exhibition curated by BTS leader RM, marking his first curatorial project and bringing his personal art collection to a U.S. museum audience.

“RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me” opens to the public on October 3, 2026, and will run through February 7, 2027. The exhibition features 142 works from RM’s personal collection alongside 36 works from SFMOMA’s collection.

The exhibition brings together Korean and Western artists and explores themes including emotion, identity, memory and cultural connections. Works by artists including Yun Hyong-keun and Nam June Paik are among those featured.

SFMOMA says the exhibition represents the largest presentation of Korean art in the museum’s history. The project also gives visitors an opportunity to see works from RM’s collection outside his private collection for a limited period.
